This photography was made at a New Hampshire backyard wedding where I’m out shooting with my friend Boston Rob. I was shooting all the dancing shots that you see at every wedding and after an hour of shooting like this I started to look for little moments to fill in the time at the reception. As I watched this woman I could see a mix of emotions. She was happy to see her family and friends on the dance floor, but there was also a little sadness and just that small amount of intrigue into what her thoughts were at that moment make this a photograph that I just keep returning to. Is she reminiscing about her youth or lost loved ones? I’ll never know and that’s what makes the story.

Just a few that caught my eye while editing the lovely wedding of Jess and Brian that took place at the Brookside Club in Bourne on September 4th. It was a great day and these two really knew how to enjoy their day and all their family and friends. There will be a slide show up early next week with a ton of photos! The last image was made at the end of the evening. It’s exhibit “A” on why I like to stick around through a reception instead of cutting out after the first few dances.
